Don’t expect the 49ers to be up for a reunion, not after how things dissolved between them.
Foster hasn’t played a snap since the 49ers released him in November 2018, following his arrest for allegedly assaulting an ex-girlfriend at the team hotel the night before their game against the Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla.
Washington promptly claimed Foster off waivers but he never suited up for them. He tore multiple knee ligaments and reportedly sustained nerve damage in their first 2019 offseason workout. Those issues kept him on injured reserve through last season.
